Well on Your Way to Creating Successful Email Campaigns- I have not subscribed to Marketing Profs for some time now, and I was referred to this particular post by Tamara Gielen of Be Relevant. I’m glad I followed it—this post by Winston Bowden is full of practical tips about e-newsletter design. While there are some good thoughts for content managers, most tips pertain to the production side (but it’s good for content managers to be aware of these nuts and bolts). Clip into your Best Practices folder. (And I think I’m going to resubscribe to Marketing Profs!)
Making the Most of Customer Complaints- Not a blog post, but I really enjoyed this article from the WSJ Online Student Weekly Wrap-Up (yep, I still get it). Authors Stefan Michel, David Bowen, and Robert Johnston offer extremely practical tips on implementing a sound service recovery program into a company’s service marketing plan. Take a few minutes to watch the video interview with co-author David Bowen too.
12 questions to ask about your email marketing- Challenging post by Mark Brownlow at No man is an iland. No additional commentary necessary!
Interactive Intelligence Outrageous Interactions- Interactive Intelligence decided to award the most stalwart of Front Line Service Employees from one of the most iconic service providing venues: the call center. While the contest is over (the winner received a 5-day trip to the Hawaiian island of her choice!), the top ten most outrageous call center exchanges are still posted at the site, and II is still looking for more. Hat tip to Ginger Conlon at The 1-to-1 Blog for calling our attention to this contest.
